Aloé

Drink Label

This project began by figuring out what drink we wanted to brand. A natural drink based on the Aloe plant was chosen.

I wanted to showcase somewhere the green of the leaf, that’s why the “e”s accent is green. I aimed for it to look refreshing and high end. It was challenging because we had to include the nutritional label, barcode and follow beverage label rules.

Target Audience:

Adults from 24-50. They are aware of their bodies and what they want to consume.

Requirements:

Create a drink logo + label, with its regulations according to the state.

Extra pieces were created to show how the brand could be expanded.

Mood Board Goal

I wanted this drink to be refreshing, and to me a glass bottle is better at that than a plastic container. I also wanted the bottle to be glass since it’s for a higher end market. The color green was predominant because of the Aloe plant color, and two secondary colors were added for the different flavors.

When a label becomes a brand

Aloé now has a juice bar and sells different items in store. They have an important following that loves their product, and are exited to be ambassadors to the brand.

Reflection

I really liked this project. It made us learn a lot about what bottle labels entail, and all the regulations and things that need to be included in them. I learned that finding the bottle beforehand would have made my work easier, but I wouldn’t have learned as much. I loved the whole process, from naming the company to finding and figuring out mockups and then expanding the brand to give it a voice.
